I just returned from my publisher's retreat in Nashville to find this lovely review in my inbox. Whoa, Nashville was a gas! My husband and I spent three hours at President Andrew Jackson's home, The Hermitage, plus we caught the Georgia O'Keefe exhibit at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. I also enjoyed seeing Vanderbilt University's urban campus. If you haven't been to Nashville, it's a trip I'd highly recommend (even if you don't like country music). I wasn't crazy about the Opry Mills Mall (too many people), but when you're a small town girl, crowds can be daunting. I also got some quality reading time on the 5-hour drive to and from Nashville. I'm just finishing Barbara Kingsolver's Pigs in Heaven, and I'm relishing the LAST installment of Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse series, Dead and Gone. I'll be counting the days until her final book comes out in May 2010.
